Lance Corporal Dororo

Rank: Lance Corporal
Color: Blue
Aliases: Naruto-1
Age: unknown
Gender: Male
Species: Keronian
Date of Birth: unknown
Blood Type:
Occupation: Assassin / Protector of Nature

After crash landing on Pekopon, Zeroro was rescued by kunoichi Koyuki Azumaya (in the anime, he was rescued by Koyuki and Zeroyasha). Wishing to follow the way of the ninja, Zeroro changed his name to Dororo, after the forest where he was rescued. He spends most of his time training, reading, or spying on the actions of Keroro Platoon and others. Dororo is often forgotten by the rest of Keroro Platoon, causing his psychological trauma switch to turn on, making him sit in a corner and cry. Also, Dororo will not participate in plans that are potentially harmful to people's feelings or well being, the nature, etc.

A blue Keronian. Throughout his childhood, Zeroro wore a medical mask. The ears of his white hat were shrouds. His symbol is a red shuriken. Before when he was an assassin, he wore a gas mask. As the ninja Dororo, he dons a ninja mask and sheath for his sword strapped to his back. In dire situations Dororo can go into his full battle form, going through a transformation sequence inspired directly by Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, with two full-length swords across his back, and his usual assassin headgear traded for a ninja-style headgear with a metal headband.

As a child, Zeroro's hobby was gardening. Currently, he trains his physical swiftness and mental swiftness through meditation.

Zeroro was part of a large, wealthy family. He was friends with Keroro and Giroro, as well as Pururu later on. Though, he was often exploited by Keroro for dangerous tasks. Throughout their friendship, Keroro has broken Zeroro's beloved music box, used his stamp collection, wrote in his novels, etc. His friendship with Keroro was strained, as opposed to his with Giroro.

Zeroro graduated from the Keron Military Academy under the rank of Lance Corporal. After serving alongside Zoruru in an elite assassin squad, under the command of Captain Jirara, he was assigned as the assassin of the Keroro Platoon alongside Keroro, Giroro, Tamama and Kururu. They were given the mission to conquer Pekopon (Earth).

On Pekopon Zeroro was caught in a bear trap, abandoned by his teammates until he was saved and adopted by the kunoichi Koyuki Azumaya. She taught him the the ways of the ninja and after renaming himself Dororo, he rejoins the Keroro Platoon.

Sergeant Major Kururu

Rank: Sergeant Major
Color: Yellow
Aliases: 966
Age: unknown (younger than Keroro)
Gender: Male
Species: Keronian
Date of Birth: unknown
Blood Type: AB

Kururu is a Sergeant Major in the Keron Army, and the head of communications in the Keroro Platoon. Although he is of a higher rank than Keroro, he is not the leader of the Platoon due to his unpleasant and unnerving demeanor, which has given him the nickname of 'Yellow Devil'. His blood type is AB, which is befitting his Japanese blood type theory of personality . His name comes from the Japanese word for the phrase "round and round" ("kurukuru"), referring to the spirals seen on his glasses.

Kururu is the brain of the Keroro Platoon, officially in charge of intelligence and planning, and the alien partner of Mutsumi Hojo. However, he is extremely mischievous, deceitful, and downright evil and enigmatic, almost to the point where some people might call him a mad scientist. Despite this, he gets along quite well with Mutsumi and Aki Hinata. Kururu and Giroro greatly loathe each other due to their vast differences (Brain vs. Brawn) and as a result, Kururu usually uses Giroro as a guinea pig for any invention that he creates, and when the platoon and their human friends are having a spooky story competition, Kururu tortures Giroro by hooking him up to the 'fear meter' that measures how scary the story was (using Giroro's own fear).

By the third season however, Kururu seems to have developed a sort of crush on Giroro, much to the corporal's abject horror, blushing whenever Giroro pays extra attention to him, and wasting no opportunity to woo Giroro by way of gift or twisted invention. Whether this affection is genuine, or merely a new way for him to torment Giroro remains a mystery. Being the least emotional of the Keroro Platoon, he is almost never seen being moved to tears or smiles by any events, though at the same time he rarely, if ever, panics when something goes wrong, likely due to the multiple dangers from his own inventions outweighing it.

Kururu's body color is yellow, though he was originally blue. It is revealed in Chibi Kero: Secret of the Kero Ball!? that he was dyed yellow due to falling in a large plate of curry. His stomach has a red swirly mark on it; a yellow one is also located on his hat, though it is purple in the 114th episode of the anime. Spirals can also be seen on his glasses. When these glasses are removed in one way or another, Kururu often begins to mumble "my glasses, my glasses" and starts searching for his glasses. His headphones have the ability to take the sound a person hates the most and send it into their brain, usually using the antenna located inside of them, and it can also erase other people's memory (surprisingly, this is a very painless process). Kururu also loves curry, but often takes this to the extreme, even seen bathing in it, and can withstand even the spiciest curries.

Private Second Class Tamama

Rank: Private Second Class
Color: Black
Aliases: Wakaba-1
Age: unknown
Gender: Male
Species: Keronian
Date of Birth: unknown
Blood Type: unknown
Occupation: Eating, Training, and being cute and lovely

The adorable yet powerful idolizer of Keroro. Tamama, unlike most of the other members of Keroro Platoon, relies on pure energy in battle. He despises Mois due to his love for Keroro and trains hard until the day when he defeats her and gains Keroro's affection would come. His split personality makes him one the Keroro Platoon's secret weapons.

Tamama is ranked Private Second Class in the Keron Army's Keroro Platoon. He is the newest member in the planetary invasion troop, and also the youngest. His name stems from the Japanese word otamajakushi "tadpole". While his age is unknown, Etsuko Kozakura has stated that she voiced Tamama as someone who was 19 years old.

Tamama's body color is of a very dark blue in the anime and black in the manga. The symbol on his hat is the green-and-yellow (orange-and-yellow in the manga) Shoshinsha mark, which is used in Japan to designate a new driver (he says that it is the sign of jealousy), reflecting Tamama's young age, which is also apparent in his tadpole tail. He looks similar to Keroro, Giroro and Dororo/Zeroro in flashbacks of them as children, with similar physical details (ie. the tadpole tail), also hinting at his young age.

Tamama is possessed of a tendency to have mood swings that border on a split personality, just like his partner Momoka Nishizawa. While usually gentle and cheerful, Tamama can become a vengeful, raving maniac at the drop of a hat. Tamama is also prone to fits of jealousy, usually towards anyone who gets near Keroro (especially Angol Mois, who he frequently refers to as "that woman").

Tamama mostly ends his sentences with "desū", which roughly translates to "it is". It is a "cute" phrasing of the common "desu", and is generally dropped when his other personality comes up. He calls Fuyuki, Natsumi, and Momoka, Fu-ki, Na-chi, and Momo-chi respectively.

Tamama idolizes and admires Keroro. His love for Keroro results in his rivalry towards all those in Keroro's love life, especially his hated rival, Angol Mois. He is the friend, and a bit of a pet, of Momoka Nishizawa.

Tamama uses chi attacks fueled by his jealousy. His staple attack, the "Tamama Impact", shoots his jealous energy out of his mouth as a strong beam of energy. Another of his attacks that he says thrives on hate and jealousy is the "Jealousy Ball," which he taught to a young soccer player. He is also very strong and knows karate. He frequently spars against Paul Moryiama only to be beaten or evenly matched.

Corporal Giroro

Rank: Corporal
Color: Red
Aliases: G66
Age: unknown
Gender: Male
Species: Keronian
Date of Birth: unknown
Blood Type: B

Corporal of the Keroro Platoon. Giroro's history in war left him with a scar and weapon belt in memory of his killed friends. Giroro loves Natsumi Hinata and he would attack anyone who harms her. His weapon expertise and power makes him a powerful member of the platoon.

Details:

Giroro is the single unit mobile infantry of the Keroro Platoon and the number one sharpshooter of the Keron Army. He is a red Keronian who has a scar over his left eye. His symbol is a skull which, unlike the other Keronians, is only on his hat. In lieu of a belly symbol, he diagonally straps across his body a belt with a rectangular buckle which contains a picture of Natsumi. The belt is priceless since it serves both as his good luck charm and as a reminder of his friends who died in a Keron War. Without it, he loses most of his mechanical abillities and is utterly inept as a soldier, much less an A-class gun wielder. However as a tadpole, he carried his skull symbol on his hat and belly and was not afflicted with the scar across his face.

His often aggreviated and irritably short tempered self is caused by the lackadaisical and unfocused members of the Platoon, especially Keroro, in their invasion of Pekopon. This often leads Giroro to physically assault Keroro by all means, including shoving a grenade in his mouth. Occasionally, his beserker anger, usually triggered when defending Natsumi, drives him into "combat mode" -- where most of his intelligence is converted into battle power and he only speaks in short sentences.

He is in love with Natsumi and he almost always turns into a lovesick puppy around her. He lives just outside the Hinata house, slightly under Natsumi's window.

Keroro and Dororo were and are his only friends after the Keron War. He hates Keroro's stupidity, but is very mutual to Dororo. As kids, Keroro commented that they were blood brothers but were not relatives. As kids, Giroro was basically just there, he never really did much, letting Keroro be the driving force. He seems more receptive to Dororo's feelings than Keroro is, the two have shared many quiet, contemplative moments together.

Giroro originally hated Natsumi (along with every other Pekoponian), but when he tried to trap/kill her he was defeated, and fell in love with her. As time passed, Natsumi befriended Giroro but is unaware of his affection towards her. If any mission involves Natsumi, he'll approve of it without hesitation. The idea of taking a bath with her is more shocking than the horrors of war. He rescues her several times, even when he's trying to be a good soldier and invade the planet. He blushes madly when she even speaks to him and can frequently be seen having daydreams about her.

Giroro wields a large variety of weapons and is known as a renowned guerrilla combatant. Much of the weapons he's been seen using resemble ones that are used by mobile suits of the Gundam franchise, especially the RX-78. He also has a few mechas under his disposal— both flying and large type (one of which is a homage to the RX78GP03 Armed Base Orchis). He can summon any weapon at any given time, which is part of Keron technology.
